I finished The Stupidest Angel: A Heartwarming Tale of Christmas Terror by Christopher Moore. I must admit, i was somewhat entertained by the very bizarre plot and eccentric characters (i especially enjoyed the talking fruit bat and brain-sucking zombies). The story reads very easily and i finished the entire book in probably two or three hours of total reading time.
Would i read another one of his books? Probably not. I'm still surprised i picked this one off the shelf at Barnes & Nobles on an impulse buy. In my defense, it was a couple weeks before Christmas and i was attempting to be festive without being overly cheery. Yes, i've learned my lesson. Impulse buying is bad.
One thing nice about working through the holidays is where i work. If i take the time to stop and take a break and ignore all the permeating materialism, then i can really enjoy the beauty of the holidays and all the wonderful Christmas memories being made at the "happiest place on Earth".Merry Christmas to all of you and may we all never forget what all the celebrating is for.
